 The First Step in God Realization

One's mind is always agitated by the passionate mode of material nature and bewildered by the ignorant mode of nature. But one can rectify such conceptions by the relation of Viṣṇu and thus become pacified by cleansing the dirty things created by them.(20)

उग्रं वीरम महा विष्णुम जवलन्तम सर्वतोमुखम |
नरसिंहम भीषणं भद्रं मृत्योर मृत्युम नमाम्यहम ||
Bow to thee, Lord Narasimha, ferocious, chivalrous, Maha Vishnu, radiant faced, omnipresent, bestower of auspiciousness and remover of birth and death cycles

After sitting in the above manner, make the mind remember the three transcendental letters [a-u-m], and by regulating the breathing process, control the mind so as not to forget the transcendental seed.(17)

Gradually, as the mind becomes progressively spiritualized, withdraw it from sense activities, and by intelligence the senses will be controlled. The mind too absorbed in material activities can be engaged in the service of the Personality of Godhead and become fixed in full transcendental consciousness.(18)....

When You stand over our heads, O Lord and Master, how can we suffer in pain?

कोई आत्मा को आश्चर्य से देखता है, कोई इसे आश्चर्य की तरह बताता है तथा कोई इसे आश्चर्य की तरह सुनता है, किन्तु कोई-कोई इसके विषय में सुनकर भी कुछ नहीं समझ पाते |
Some look at the soul as amazing, some describe him as amazing, and some hear of him as amazing, while others, even after hearing about him, cannot understand him at all.

यद्द्यापी मैं इस तंत्र का रचयिता हूँ , लेकिन सभी को यह ज्ञात होना चाहिए कि मैं कुछ नहीं करता और मैं अनंत हूँ .
Though I am the author of this system, one should know that I do nothing and I am eternal.

I know no one but Krishna as my Lord, and He shall remain so even if He handles me roughly by His embrace or makes me brokenhearted by not being present before me. He is completely free to do anything and everything, for He is always my worshipful Lord unconditionally.
